Restockly is a back-in-stock, waitlist, and pre-order app for OpoShop stores, published by Found. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it. We keep it short and plain.
Who this covers
Two groups: merchants (store owners who install Restockly on their OpoShop store) and shoppers (people who use the Restockly features on a merchant's storefront — for example, tapping “Notify me when back”).
What we collect
- Merchant store data (via OpoShop OAuth): when a merchant installs Restockly, OpoShop grants us a secure access token so we can read the store's products, variants, inventory, and orders. We use this only to run the app for that store.
- Shopper email + name: when a shopper asks to be notified about a sold-out product, joins a waitlist, or pre-orders, we store the email address (and name, if provided) they submit, along with the product/variant they're interested in.
- Merchant settings & branding: the business name, logo, and accent color a merchant sets, plus their app configuration.
- Anonymous product analytics: we record app usage events keyed to the store (never to an individual shopper) to understand which features are used. No personal data is included in these events.
We do not collect or store payment card details. Checkout and payments are handled entirely by OpoShop.
How we use it
- To send a shopper a single “It's back in stock” email when the item they asked about is available again.
- To manage waitlists and pre-orders, and to send the related confirmation emails.
- To show the merchant their subscriptions, waitlist, pre-orders, and “what to restock next” insights, and to let them export their own subscriber list.
- To display the storefront widget and emails using the merchant's branding.
We never sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for their own marketing. We don't use shopper emails for anything other than the alert the shopper asked for.
How emails are sent
Branded transactional emails (the “It's back!” alert, waitlist and pre-order confirmations) are sent through OpoShop's own email service on the merchant's behalf. Each shopper is emailed only for the alert they requested, and back-in-stock alerts are sent once per restock — never repeatedly.
Where data is stored
Data is stored in Restockly's own database, hosted on managed cloud infrastructure. Every record is scoped to a single store — one merchant can never see another merchant's data, and one shopper's request is never exposed to other shoppers. Access tokens are stored securely and used only to call the OpoShop API for that store.
Data retention
We keep subscription, waitlist, and pre-order records for as long as the merchant has Restockly installed, so the app can do its job. A merchant can cancel or remove individual records at any time from the Restockly dashboard. When a merchant uninstalls Restockly, we stop processing their store's data; residual records are removed on request.
Your choices
- Shoppers: you can ask the merchant whose store you used to remove your email from a Restockly list, or contact us directly (below) and we'll remove it.
- Merchants: you control your store's data in the dashboard and can uninstall Restockly at any time from OpoShop, which revokes our access.
Changes to this policy
If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Restockly after a change means you accept the updated policy.
